The films gathered here come from the Super 8 filmmaking workshops held as part of the Activités Culturelles at the University of Geneva, where Laura Gabay teaches analog filmmaking.

Over the course of each workshop, participants — most of them handling a film camera for the first time — shoot, develop and edit their own short films on Super 8, working directly with the material qualities of celluloid: light, grain, chance, and the discipline of a medium that offers no instant replay.
